i have an ipod and itunes and see podcast available but have no clue how to make use of it?

Podcasts are simple, you don't even need to have an Ipod to hear them. They are kind of like radio shows. You can learn a language, get a walking tour of an area, learn to cook, hear the news, hear stories, hear comedy---you name it, and there is a podcast about it! I love them, and find them highly entertaining. What makes them even better is that they are free!
If you see a podcast you are interested in, just click on it. Then you can just listen to them on line, or download an episode(s) to your Ipod, or subscribe so that everytime there is a new episode it will download to your Itunes when you sync your computer.

podcast is en evil word. It is something apple made up to refer to free mp3 files. Basically, that is all they are. the term usually refers to things that are live recordings which don't contain music. They are usually available for free, though I am not sure if they are free by definition. The word comes from broadcast, and Ipod. Apple will one day own the copyright to starting any word with the letter I

you listen to new music news thats all it is. there are also other types where u can listen to other news and stuff
