I was thinking about getting my husband an IPod for Christmas, only I know nothing about them... Can you help? What should I look for?

i have a turn table and mixer and in a week or two i am buying another turntable, and i would like to know some things on them(mixing techniques, scratching, singing on the mic...) because the instruction book only had very little. so anything about them would be appreciated. thanks

in my "other car" the CD player won't play it. It will play original CD's, but not the ones I burn myself.

Can you explain this to me? Is it the CD player? I mean are there CD players that simply won't play CD's that you burn yourself?

the other day i tried to copy the music from my ipod to a friends computer. i selected all, and pressed clear instead of copy. hopeing to save some songs i unplugged my ipod. when i reconnected my ipod, the names where still there but only a few would play. thinking i had losed them, i cleared everything and have started to reload my ipod again. now i have loaded only 5.5 gigs, but on the used space bar in itunes it says i have used 19 gigs, and have only 8 gig remaining. when connecting my ipod to pc. i am sure it is scaning the tunes that was previously on my ipod. where is this music? and can i restore it?

Its easy to try and tell me well, don't keep em in the car. But c'mon, my cd player is in the car and they crack on the sides and they break so easily. What can I do, and why are they happening?

I already know that Limewire and others are illegal. I want to be able to download music, movies, etc. I know that there is no place to download these things for free, but can anyone tell me of a cheap place to download from. I've heard of buylegalmp3.com but I'm not sure whether or not it's a hoax. It would be good if I could pay a monthly fee. I don't want to get into one of those year-long contracts. Please help me!

I have had it since December and has worked fine (easy to use, download songs, etc.) It could be used for up to twelve hours without having to charge it... it all of a sudden no longer will hold it's charge. I have tried to charge it the past two days in a row, once on the computer and once on a wall charger. Any suggestions... it was a gift, I have no receipt and no longer have the original box.

I know that Karaoke equipment can read audio CD's (.cda format), as well as Karaoke CD's (CD+G format).

I want to know if there are Karaoke machines that are capable of reading a standard audio CD, and determine which digital track(s) the vocals reside on and to be able to NOT play those specific tracks.

I therefore would like to play a standard audio CD, and be able to play it purely as an instrumental.

Please provide some reccomendations of Make and Model numbers or some other way to strip the vocals from a standard audio CD.

When i opened my new Kenwood car stereo with built in Sirrus tuner, i saw the most arrogant thing i have ever witnessed in business, a sticker on the stereo that warns - the am/fm tuner, cd, and mp3 features will not work without an active Sirrus account....... $280 for a paperwight if Sirrus goes out of business, or jacks up the price, or just plain sucks. is this not the most riddiculas thing you've ever heard? i got a refund on the radio immediatly, and felt i shoud go warn as many people as possible, and i, for one, will be boycotting Sirrus and Kenwood from now on, i hope you will join me.
