Should I get an ipod video, why or why not?

I think you should. I have one and it works just fine. The thing I do is download songs and MP4 formated videos free from limewire which you can get a www.limewire.com I have downloaded a bunch of music, tv shows, and even movies free from limewire and they were in MP4 format so they uploaded to my ipod just fine. The battery lasts really long too. The picture is crystal clear and the sound is really good.

A 5G iPod Video is the best. I will give you a whole bunch of reasons why it is worth it (I have one by the way.) First, it can hold 7500 songs. You don't see many MP3 Players that can do that do you? Also, the video capabilities option is wonderful. I have at least 100 videos on mine, a bunch of south park episodes, the simpsons, family guy, and 10 movies on top of that, and still room for 750 songs and over 400 photos, with 5GB to spare for whatever I want. And the iPod is one of the very few Mp3 players that can be hacked. I mean the real deal, playing Doom, Half-Life, Quake, and more games on it, writing text documents on it, painting pictures on it, and a whooole lot more. Look into iPod Linux, Rockbox, and iPod Wizard (for more info on this, go to http://iPodForum.co.nr .) And I could go on an on all day about why you should get the iPod Video. One other reason: once you have it in your hand the first time, you will never put it down. It's got a great look and I take mine everywhere. To school, on the bus, to the mall, my friends' houses, I even listen to it when I'm falling asleep. I'm addicted to it. I love it. If you get one then you will definately know what I am talking about. By the way, I was just talking about the 30GB iPod. If you get the 60GB iPod, then you can double everything I said which would be even better (the 60GB iPod is $400 and the 30GB is $300.) Good luck with your decision.

no becuase there are better mp3 player out there one the best probably is the creative zen vision m 262,000 color screen more than the ipos (colors) beter audio quality betterpicture and video quality easier to sync more colors more thmesesto choose form more video fomrats supported built in mic better video battery life fm tuner fm recording and more durable since its thincker about the same thickness as the ipod 60 gb feels more durable and not like ur gonna break it 640x480 out tv source so it looks normal wide screen user replaceable u have to open it though

vision m cons: thick non removable battery not many accesories
ipod cons: 62,000 color screen bad screen to fragile to many followers not good sound quality pics look faded out and so do movies only suports 2 vid formats doesnt support wma or wav when hooked up to outer screen only shows at 320x240 so the vid looks very bad when stretched battery dies after 1 yearnon user replaceable

and an ipod video iz more efficient, bcause u can play games, download pics, listen 2 music, and watch videos
but if it's like at an outrageous price like 400-500 dollars, get an ipod nano, da only thing u'd b missin iz da videos

i ordered mine yesterday and it's being shipped to me as we speak!! i'm so excited! sorry that doesn't really answer your question but i would say why not. even if you don't want videos now, you still have the option for later if you change your mind. and you can always add another song. i mean, think about it. have you ever even heard 7500 songs in your life? even if you have, there's no way that you could've liked every single one of them! so you'll almost always have room for more songs. it's like a lietime worth. so yeah, pretty much you should buy one.
