A 5G iPod Video is the best. I will give you a whole bunch of reasons why it is worth it (I have one by the way.) First, it can hold 7500 songs. You don't see many MP3 Players that can do that do you? Also, the video capabilities option is wonderful. I have at least 100 videos on mine, a bunch of south park episodes, the simpsons, family guy, and 10 movies on top of that, and still room for 750 songs and over 400 photos, with 5GB to spare for whatever I want. And the iPod is one of the very few Mp3 players that can be hacked. I mean the real deal, playing Doom, Half-Life, Quake, and more games on it, writing text documents on it, painting pictures on it, and a whooole lot more. Look into iPod Linux, Rockbox, and iPod Wizard (for more info on this, go to http://iPodForum.co.nr .) And I could go on an on all day about why you should get the iPod Video. One other reason: once you have it in your hand the first time, you will never put it down. It's got a great look and I take mine everywhere. To school, on the bus, to the mall, my friends' houses, I even listen to it when I'm falling asleep. I'm addicted to it. I love it. If you get one then you will definately know what I am talking about. By the way, I was just talking about the 30GB iPod. If you get the 60GB iPod, then you can double everything I said which would be even better (the 60GB iPod is $400 and the 30GB is $300.) Good luck with your decision.

I just bought a Creative Zen Sleek Photo and I LOVE it. No it doesn't have video like the first guy's does, (altho i don't think so...it mentioned how long it could play a video before the batteries died but i haven't seen video mentioned anywhere else) but it has so many other features. First, it's 20GB...holds 10,000 WMA files (which, honestly, sounds just the same as MP3s..they're just compressed so they take up smaller space), it equals 5,000 MP3s...it can also hold photos, and the color on the screen is great. And, since it holds photos you can choose your own background...just a small bonus feature.
It has a radio. And you can preset 33 stations into it. The reception's not bad, either. You can also record from the radio. I think that's awesome.
This little feature came to mind when I saw another question on Yahoo Answers the other day.....when a song is playing, and either the name of the song, artist or album is too long to fit on the screen, it scroll.s Apparently on some (or all?) ipods, the title won't scroll...this girl had all these Greatest Hits of... albums loaded onto her player but she couldn't tell Greatest Hits of who because it all wouldn't fit.
It's so easy to load songs onto it, either one by one or whole albums.
The battery life is great. You can easily listen to it for 18 hours.
Oh, and you can sync it with Outlook email on your computer, and have yourself a to do list and a contact list...there's also a built in Calender.
You can set it on a sleep timer to fall asleep to it, then you can set the alarm on it to wake you up again in the morning.
It also charges when plugged into your computer through usb port. (It also comes with a charger to plug into a wall outlet....charges in just 2 hours).
I've only had mine for a week so that's all the features I know of....but I definitely recommend it. Right now, Circuit City has it for $184.99
Good luck with your purchase!

I have the 30gb video ipod and it works great! I don't have to pay a single penny for all of the music and videos I download. I just go to limewire and download a video in mp4 format (there are many of those) and put it on my ipod. I even download mp3 format songs on my ipod and they work fine. The picture on the video ipod is really nice and clear. Same thing for the sound.
