is your computer recognizing your ipod? like does the ipod icon appear after you plug it in. if it does, and you have loaded the songs on the ipod, maybe play with the equalizer effects, perhaps the sound on your ipod is distorted. maybe your headphone jack is broken. if the songs are playing on your computer and not on your itunes, then theres a problem with itunes. maybe your output folder is in a weird place, or maybe your version of itunes is not updated. the apple.com help site is pretty useful, be sure to look in the user forums.

The free songs that itunes gives out every tuesday don't work on the ipod. They will only play on the computer because you didnt pay for them. Maybe this is the problem.

I don't know the answer to that...but i am VERY disappointed with IPOD....my daughter got one for Christmas, it worked for three months and we have been calling tech support since then to have the problem solved. Hopefully we will get this solved before the warranty expires! Good luck with your problem....maybe you should start calling TS now so when the problem is really big, they will actually let you send it in!!

Just reformat the files so they are compatible with your iPod.
