Hi I have a HD DLP projector which projects films onto a 150" screen. Agreat cinematic experience. However with Beowulf coming out in 3D I am curious to know if there are other DVDS worth experimenting with? Could you let me know if there are any good ones. Much appreciated.

I could use some help with which HD DVD player I should get for my boyfriend for Christmas. He has got a home theater set up in our apartment with recliners (with rumbling bass underneath), surround sound, a projector, etc. I'm not sure which high def dvd player would be the best considering the fact he enjoys watching a lot of movies. Any help would be great and thanks!

I have a Diamond Xtreme Soundcard 7.1 PCI card that has a S/PDIF output jack. I assume it connects to the orange plug labeled "Digital Input, Coxial" in the back of my Yamaha receiver. Assuming this is the correct connection, do I need to buy a special S/PDIF cable to make this connection? Or can I use a regular cable with RCA terminations (you know, either red, white or yellow). In other words, is the S/PDIF cable different than the regular audio cable since they both have the same RCA type jacks? Thanks-

I bought a home theater system and works great. The problem is that the speakers are a little bit tall and get on the way and they kinda cut into the image. Now, If I put them on their sides (horizontally), would that affect the sound experience? Thanks.

I just bought a 32" Sharp 720 LCD HDTV and it looks perfect with still images and slow but everythime I play Madden 08 it looks great when they are moving slow or still. But when you move the players the get fuzzy and blurry ( like they look like they are " vibrating ) lol

It is really only Madden 08 I have a probley with. Warhawk is not to bad and even when you flying with turbo boost its is way better then madden. COD4 is a little bad but i can live with it. But they ARE NOT better. Like I read reviews and they say that even without HD it makes non-HD look better.

Also I didnt get the HD componet cable yet for the PS3 so maybe thats the problem... It is still running at 460 or what ever standered is.

Im just mad because Madden 08 looks better on my 10 year old TV then my new HD TV :(

I am just wondering why everyone says HD is a MUST but with gaming it is worse ? Will it look this way with Blue-Ray ? When I get the HD componet cable

So if I buy this system: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5663210
Can the surround sound only be used when I watch DVDs? Or will I be able to use it when I just watch tv or play games too? Is there some kind of option that will let me change what the surround sound is coming from? Thanks

Any feedback? Have it narrowed to 2 units. Both 1080p for the ps3/Blu-Ray I will have later. Both with 3 HDMI inputs.

Model #'s are
Mitsu.... WD65733
Samsung...HLT6176s

Both look nearly identical in the store for picture quality. Any feedback on features and dependability issues.

Both are standard DLP. Not LED DLP. I have read good and bad on the LED light for Samsung.

Iwas watching a standered DVD Normal regien code. The screen poped but not in the tv portion of the system and the Screen went to the normal Panasonic screen. Would not play and could not get sound out of it till i powered down the Panasonic. Then tried to finish the movie and it died again. Powered down and got the surround sound for normal tv viewing. Looking for input please.
