Tall order. I don't recall a receiver with this high a spec. You can get the high end Denon, Yamaha, Integra, Onkyo's with a typical 0.08%, however I am pretty sure this is not at +4Db.

Some seperatates might be a better bet, but you are getting into serious money.

Why the quest for amp perfection, do you have speakers that can deliver? Speakers are usually guilty of 10 times the distortion of amplifiers, your mony may be better spent there?

Hi. Specifications are not a guarantee of sound quality.
THD stands for :Total Harmonic Distortion. THD below 0.1% is meaningless. What do you mean by 5th -order ? Receivers usually have a wider frequency range than 20 - 20K HZ. What is +4 dBu ?
