Does the 80 gb PS3 have any problems??? I already know that it isn't backwards combatible, but i'm not looking for that. Also how much money would i make on ebay for a PS2, all 4 guitar hero games, two guitar hero wireless controllers, two regular wireless, a multitap, and a regular wired controller (all for the PS2) sell for on eBay???? Please try to answer both questions and not just one. Thanks.

Hi I just got a PS3 and I got a few questions,
1. Is the PS3 internet compatible with a LINKSYS wireless internet thing.
2. The first controller that comes with the system...
It's not wireless is it... If it is please tell me how to use it wirelessly
It's the kind that uses a USB cord if that helps.
3. Does the Online PS3 website update often? New game demos? Can you get guides online?
4. Lastly, is the PS3 online community active?

I've seen the 2 Final Fantasy movies. I don't even understand what they have to do with each other. In 1 there is some ghost aliens attacking people and the other movie theres a bunch of dudes sword fighting and crap. Metal Gear Solid looks like Splinter Cell. And Splinter Cell is a boring game. I got a PS3 and heard they are making a final fantasy game and MSG game.

Truth is the creator of FF7 stated he is very excited about the idea of a remake but Squaresoft has made no official announcement of a remake. They have indeed shown the remake of the opening but even then squaresoft officially stated that no remake was in progress. However I feel it is only a matter of time. If they can make a Final Fantasy X-2 which was simply an apolling display of reusing graphics then surely they can take the greatest selling game and remake it. They have to know it would make a profit. Heck, a FF7 remake would actually make people have a reason to buy a PS3. If sony isn't careful the PS3 will be they're end just like Sega...

my husband is a bit of a gamer and has always enjoyed racing and stealth games. hes also a fan of rpg games like grand theft auto. hes got a ps2 now, hes on his second. its starting to bite the dust however. we've also got a nintendo wii, but i was looking to upgrade the ps2. naturally, that would point me towards a ps3 but at a 499.99 price tag for the one thats backwards compatible, i was debating the xbox 360 at the middle level, the 399.99 package (all canadian currencies).ive heard him complain about how he doesnt like xbox controllers, but he will use one at a buddies house. ive also heard him comment how he likes the larger selection of games on the xbox 360. i dont know which one to buy him! what do you think a young guy would prefer? and what is most cost efficient (we have a young baby so i dont want to go TOO crazy). thanks!

Most gaming sites online have given AC huge praises. 5 stars, 9/10, etc. One site in particular, though, IGN, gave it a somewhat less than enthusiatic review. They said it actually gets boring with little, tedious missions that really slow things down. Another big gripe was that only five minutes into the game, a huge spoiler is revealed which makes everything else very anti-climatic. I am going to purchase the game and see for myself, but I was curious to see if anyone here has an early review of the game and would like to comment on some of these opinions by IGN. The called it the first next-gen major disapointment.

Ive noticed that there is a docking bay to slide a new HD into the PS3 - can this be done?

I seriously thought 60gb would be fine but around 5gb of that was taken up by firmware leaving around 50-55gb actually usabel, and after 4 game saves, 4 demos and my favourite albums (pherhaps around 40I think) I only have 30gb left!?

Also,is there a way to defrag the HD - like you can on a PC to help stopfile corruption from the head moving about on the HD?

Thanks, btw im having much fun on VF5 and Oblivion. I really hink that SOny should preload the GT demo, and the £1.99 games - not cos imtight but to make it a more attractive package. Im well happy with my PS3 -its so futuristic in that it IS a total entertainment centre in one.

I've been playing Resistance multiplayer offline with 3 friends using two sixaxis controllers and two old PS2 controllers with PS2 to PS3 contoller adapters. Everything works fine except that if you get tagged by the Chimeran machine gun or lit on fire, the way to shake off the tag or put out the fire is to shake the sixaxis. Has anyone found a way to do this without sixaxis motion controls? Could the "shake" command possibly be mapped to a different controller button???
