Has anybody else had this problem? When I try to turn on my ps3, it beeps three times, the light changes from red to green, but then immediately shuts back off and turns red. I've tried using both the power button and the eject button to turn it on.

Hi,

Where can I get hold of the Sony official HDMI cable for the PS3 in the UK. You can get it easily elsewhere in the world (e.g. USA - http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10551&storeId=10151&langId=-1&partNumber=DLCHD20P&Dept=tvvideo - but obviously they will only deliver to the US), I'm looking to either go and buy it or get it delivered to the UK.

games. why are they making things harder for people like if they buy 40 gig they cant play ps2 games on it. they shouldve of just made 1 kind of a ps3 like only 60 gig. daaamm now im struggling bcuz i cant find a 60 gig.i dont want 20 40 or 80 gig they all have issues. u cant go wrong with the 60 gig.......right ?? sony makes things harder 4 ppl, ppl are complaining that there 40 gig dont play ps2 games. ppl payed there check of the week to buy a ps3 and all they can play is the new games not marvel vs capcom etc etc there games the (ppl).

It cut off while I was playing Resistance and when i attempted to start it up it would not load and even when I tried to play other PS3 games, they didn't work either. Is anyone familiar with this problem, if you can help, thank you ^^

What should i do? I have tried the settings on the ps3. I have reset the ps3 to factory settings and then tried it. I reconnect the cable and it still blinks. The screen blinks repeatedly every 20 to 40 seconds. The cable isn't really a brand. It was $30.00 from Fry's. I want to get a PS3 today from Circuit City cause of the free controller. Is it worth getting their Circuit City Advantage Protection Plan for $99.99? What does the free basic warranty cover that comes when you buy the PS3? Don't really feel like giving $100 for a protection plan when I have never broken my consoles before. However, don't want to break it and have no back up. Should I pay that $100?
