Is the new 40 gig PS3 wireless out of the box?

if I have a wireless router and network at my house, can the new $400 40 gig PS3 connect to it wirelessly? or do i need a separate cable/adapter?

Yes, the 40GB PS3 has built in WiFi. All of the PS3's that were released have built in WiFi except for the 20GB PS3. You don't need any other separate cables or adapters for the 40GB PS3 to be wireless.
