I would go with red because the black PS3 controllers would match up well with the red console. Also, dust will show up easier on the white console.
A White PS3 would just stand out a little too much like a fly in milk.

I'd get a Red because it's unique, and because there is a White PS3 which was exclusively released on Asia.

I really like both but I guess it depends on what colour the surroundings are (make it match) But I'd go with white, even thought I like red too.
