Cant seem to achieve this affect while taking Photographs -
Dont understand how to control the Zoom in order to get the background blur - please explain how ???

I have the Olympus SP510UZ 7.1mp
I'm not exactly sure What shooting in RAW means or HOW to do that - what do I set my camera to in order to shoot in RAW ??
Does that just mean AUTO ?? Or does that mean I turn off all setting or something ?? Confused ??

It got left in a bag outside overnight which got rained on, it was wet when I found it this morning but not submerged in water or anything.
I took the batteries out straight away, dried it and haven't turned it on.

What are the chances it's going to work?

play on my DVD player. I use a coss and a apex DVD player. I searched Canon website for info and manuel, to no avail. I have settings on computer, set to windows media player. My DVD plays jpgs fine. I dont get it. When I put CD in it says no supported files for disk. Any help would be appreciated.

I am really into photography and wanted to invest in a high quality digital camera. I have heard great things about Nikon, Sony, Cannon, etc. I wanted to know your opinnion on which one is the best.

I was given an old Pentax camera with a Pentax M 50mm f/2 lens on it. What other lenses would you recommend for this camera? Third party lenses are OK as well as Pentax lenses. Thanks

somehow half of my pictures on my sd card disappeared. I can't pull them up on my camera, computer or card reader. The only thing I can pull them up on is my nintendo wii. My question is how can i recover these photos? I used a free software but it didi not work. can I print them off from my wii or save them to something else from the wii?

Model DSC-421. I lost the original rechargeable batteries that came with the camera. I have been trying to use new 2AA regular batteries. ie. Energizer, Duracell. However the camera sucks the life out of those batteries instantly and I just end up going through a new pair again. Any recommendations, should I buy rechargeable ones? Thanks.

to work as a web cam? Everything else works, I just don't have the stuff to make it function as a webcam...... Real good camera, too; it'd be such a shame if it doesn't work as a cam.

Hi!
I have a Samsung Digimax S800 camra and my dumb friend washed the lens off with soap and water. She didn't run it under water or anything, she put liquid soap directly on the lens and then washed that off with a wet cloth. I think she got water and or soap in the lens. The center of the lence doesn't look normal and it looks like a bubble. It doesn't focus, it just shows the colors really blurry. When I take a picture it just shows the color of whatever I took (ex a pink rug) with lines. It just happened about 10 mins ago. I love this camera, so any SERIOUS suggustions would be greatly appreciated.

I am reading a book and its says "resoluton alone is not a measure of a camera's quality" So what else should i look at when buying a new camera? I always thought is was the higher the mega pixel the better the camera.

see my friend was suposed to be takeing pictures but made like a hundred little videos....the videos were supposed to go in a sequence like a slide show...I need to make the first frame into a picture -OR- just put all the videos together as on big one

I'm looking at spending $300 +. I want something fairly simple to use, that takes quality photos, is at least 6 megapixels and is small/slim.

I'm not sure whether I'm all over the place with my picks, but the one's I've been researching are:
Canon SD 600 or 800
Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX50
Casio Exilim EX-Z1000
Pentax A20

Which one's suit my amateurishness & are closer to $300 than higher?
