Model DSC-421. I lost the original rechargeable batteries that came with the camera. I have been trying to use new 2AA regular batteries. ie. Energizer, Duracell. However the camera sucks the life out of those batteries instantly and I just end up going through a new pair again. Any recommendations, should I buy rechargeable ones? Thanks.

You should probably buy rechargeable ones, this will be cheaper for you in the long run. You may want to invest in a new camera, something with a Lithium Ion battery, like the ones that are in cell phones.

I have used the same two Rechargable batteries that i bought over one year ago. They have been recharged at least 20 times or more , and are still going and going just like that darned Bunny Rabbit on TV . They are used in a 2 Megapixle Sony .
