What is a 12VXb for a digital camera?

It's garbage.

And here's a few things that are fishy about the specs:
* They advertise this as a 12 megapixel camera but it only has a 5.1 megapixel sensor. This means that 5.1 megapixels is all you get... 12 megapixels is achieved with a cheap software trick.
* It has digital zoom only - no optical zoom. This means that when you zoom in, you sacrifice tons of image quality.
* They don't specify a maximum ISO setting. You can expect terrible performance in low light.
* They don't specify who makes the lens. Respectable companies like Canon and Nikon make their own, others buy lenses from Leica or Zeiss and proudly state this. Companies that don't say anything usually use poor quality glass or even platic.
Also, no decent review site even mentions the 12VXB... or any other camera made by SVP.
