Buying things is so hard nowadays! Sooo many choices and i have no clue what to pick. I know that under the Consumer Electronics category there are a lot of "what should i get..." and "what should i buy"'s but answer mine anyway please.

I basically want a camera that takes good photos. Nothing fancy. I am not a pro or anything. I don't need the best pics, but i don't want crappy photos either. I just want to take some pics of friends and stuff. I have a Windows XP so yes i can use a digital camera. I'm just a teen so i don't need a really expensive camera. Anything over 175 is too expensive. I like small digital cameras, but if those are really expensive, i can live without them. No1 suggest ebay please.

Please give me suggestions and links/why u think it is a good phone for me. Thank you! :)

Taking into account build quality, sharpness, picture quality and price. What would be the best brand of lens to buy for a Canon DSLR? Specifically the Canon 30D. I did some research and it seems that Canon makes the best lenses, but what about big third party developers like Sigma and Tamron?

Is the Canon Powershot A540 significanlty better then the Canon Powershot A530? If so, why? Is it really worth paying the extra bucks for? Is the picture quality significantly better?

I've looked at cameras a lot in the last 2 days and I've about decided on the Kodak Easy Share Z612. Do you think this is a good choice based on being able to zoom in on the field at a ballgame? It says it takes a lithium ion rechargable battery. Does that mean that I can't use the Energizer e2 lithium AA batteries with the camera? And also has anyone ever ordered from Broadway photo and video? (bwayphoto.com) They seem to have the cheapest price, but I hadn't heard of that before so I want to make sure I order from a secure and safe site. Thanks a lot for your help!

I was thinking about getting this camera as my first DSLR mainly due to the fact that I have a bunch of old minolta lenses from my Maxxum. I heard the Sony had noise problems, so I'm leaning toward this instead. However, I'm concerned with the sensor. Does having older technology (6.1mp) make a huge difference in picture quality? Also, can I still get support from minolta or sony?

I have looked all over online and can't find anyone selling this camera but it is supposedly on the market for purchase. It can come in three different colors and I would prefer pink.

I have found the camera - now I need to find the reasonable price for it. I don't rust ebay much. I am also concerned for the place not to be a scam!

i really liked this camera and how it can capture an image rapidly...but "the bad" was that it didn't have image stabilization and it had noisy images above ISO 400. what does "noisy" mean? and image stabilization--does that mean it tends to shake and doesn't automatically become steady?
