I've looked at cameras a lot in the last 2 days and I've about decided on the Kodak Easy Share Z612. Do you think this is a good choice based on being able to zoom in on the field at a ballgame? It says it takes a lithium ion rechargable battery. Does that mean that I can't use the Energizer e2 lithium AA batteries with the camera? And also has anyone ever ordered from Broadway photo and video? (bwayphoto.com) They seem to have the cheapest price, but I hadn't heard of that before so I want to make sure I order from a secure and safe site. Thanks a lot for your help!

The Z612 is a great camera. Here's the conclusion from an in-depth review: http://www.steves-digicams.com/2006_reviews/z612_pg5.html
For ballgames, the whopping 12x zoom is about as good as it gets. If you can't get the shot with a Z612, you'll need a +$1500 digital SLR setup. Having said that... even with 12x zoom, the closer you are to the field, the better. Don't expect to zoom in on a face if you're sitting 200 rows from the action.
One thing the Z612 absolutely can't handle, is night-games. In poor light, action shots will always turn out blurry. This is true for just about all point & shoots - it isn't a specific weakness of Kodak, and the Z612's image stabilization won't help in these situations.
As for the batteries, I wouldn't worry about it. They include one with the camera (together with the charger for it), and you'll have to take a heck of a lot of pictures to ever need a spare. The only time I ever drained a battery in one day was when I took 300 flash photographs at a wedding.
Now, regarding Broadway Photo and Video - I'd look elsewhere. I've heard some real horror stories about them. I just checked at resellerratings.com and for relability they score an incredible 0.8 out of 10 (that's not a typo: zero-point-eight). The best price I can find from a reputable store is $279 at Beachcamera.com (one dollar cheaper than either B&H or Adorama, and they have free shipping).
And remember to get a memory card while you're at it. 512MB should be plenty.

Sup bro, I have a Z760, its pretty good, the zoom is good, but most of it is digital, so if you want the best picture quality, AND Zoom, your prolly gonna need to get a Nikon Digital Camera so you can have the better Lenses, Z760 does alot though
