My fiance would like to have a video of the wedding ceremony, which I think is really cheesy (funny considering usually a guy would find it cheesy?) And I don't want to hire someone to do something if you can do it yourself (editing too). All we do is stand there, a tripod does the same thing as a pro phtographer! Of course, it would look more professional if a company does it b/c of lighting or whatever. Is there a really good video camera out there that would be perfect to record it ourselves? I don't feel like dealing with those sleezy people, I'm hoping to get the professional photographer my cousin used for her wedding who doesn't give you that "you can't keep the proofs" load of bulls***. They did my cousins wedding and he just gave them all the pics and they made their own scrapbook. Unfort, there are no video people in my family... Any knowledge on the subject? FYI, there will be NO video of the reception, the church is very bright and spacious, and we are both good with cpu's.

One that does a good job of filtering and not picking up noise and breathing. The reason is I'm doing voice overs for digital videos and want to get the best quality possible. Too often I see flash annimations and videos used with cheap mics and end up with bad scratch sound quality and you hear people talking and the mic picks up wind from their breath.

I have a Hitachi 8mm video camcorder ( model # VM-E340A).Recently I tried transferring some old footage to vhs tapes.
I have picture but no sound on any of them. The strange thing is that I tried taping on those very same camcorder tapes and when I play those through the VCR I have sound. Does anyone know what might be the problem? Thanks very much.

When I go to edit the video it's very choppy - I think it has to do with the high speed connection - but how do I get the speed I need if I don't have it?? Can y'all tell I'm computer illeterate? Thanks for any help everyone :)
Could it be the software? Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

I currently own and have in my system several editing programs. Adobe premiere elements 3, Nova Video Explosion, and a Sonic product Arcsoft Showbiz. I have been using a HI8 format, analogue. I recently bought a Canon camera, that I have hooked up through my USB2 port. I am thinking of buying the above mentioned Hardware & software. As I do not currently have a firewire port iee1394. I read in CNET that this one has, and is connect through the USB2 port. Does anyone have any knowledge of this product? Can I connect my digital video camera through this device? Will there be any conflicts with the other software programs? It comes with the software program Pinnacle Studio Version 10.5? Anyone out there having experience with this product, please provide some additional information on it.

Thank You

I wonder if it would be possible to have a camera or camcorder with as much sensitivity to light as the human eye. You know how we can see stars and things very clear, but with a camera all you see is black sky? I wonder if there is a camera that can see stars, and if so, is it affordable?

I have a Sony DCR-DVD92. I record on RW+ DVDs. Recording and playback are fine on the camcorder however I have problems playing the DVD on other devices like PCs or DVD players.

When I have filled a DVD is there another step I need to do to "finalize" the DVD so it is recognizable in more devices?

And when I eject a DVD and attempt to read the files with a PC there are no files shown on the DVD. Is that because I haven't done something like I mentioned above?

Thanks for the help.
