Hi
I've seen some really cheap DVD recorders in ASDA and would really like one - but am concerned that I will 'get what I pay for' and that it will not work. Has anybody got any experience with cheap DVD recorders from anywhere, whether positive or negative.
Also, what features will I be missing out on with a cheap one (I know nothing about how they work). Is there a particular feature I should make sure it includes, even if I pay more for it.
Just in case it makes a difference, I want to record films/programmes from Sky at home.
Thanks all.

I dropped my camera, and it broke. The screen turned all white, and some of the pictures are half white, and the other half is the picture, is there any way I can fix it? Does anyone know how or who I can get to help me? Thanks

Ok guys and gals this is my last question about High Definition TV's I promise! As some of you may know from my previous questions I am going to be buying a HD TV soon and keep changing my mind about which one to get. I think I have now narrowed it down to 2 and would love your input on whether I get the Pionner PDP-427XD Plasma (not the 4270XD) or the Sharp LC-42XD1E LCD.

I have read countless reviews and articles about the 2 but just cannot make up my mind on which one to get. Both have their pro's and con's over the other ie The Sharp is Full HD and the Pioneer is not but I have read article which say don't be too influenced by the TV being 1080p and that Plasma's are the way to go for larger screen (37inch +).

So it's down to you to help me choose.

I took my digital camera to the beach and it accidently got covered in sand..there is now sand in the lens, and the shutter won't close! the battery still works but I want to know if there is any point in taking this to a camera repair, or will that cost more than buying a new one?

It is basically a movement to eliminate AT&T's exclusive rights to the IPhone... So Verizon & other companies can also have the I phone on their network.

You can sign the petition at http://www.freetheiphone.com/

It may not seem like much.. but look at it this way,
What if computer companies started making computers that only worked with Roadrunner? Or could only access the internet through AT&T's dsl?
Or Tv's that could only work with Direct Tv satalite?

The list could go on, but the question really is, should manufactures of products be able to dictate how that product is used once it becomes the propery of the consumer?

Recently bought a PS3.

Want a HD-TV to really emphasize the power of the console, whilst also fed up of current SD-TV.

Specs required.

26-32"
720-1080p.
Higher Contrast Ratio than 7000:1

Anybody suggest anything nice?

Thanks

What will HDMI be used for besides hooking up in-home devices? Will it be run room-to-room in schools or business settings? If I need an HDMI cable for home should I consider one with a "chip" built into the cable that would enable it to go farther?

I saw it advertised on a commercial yesterday on a commercial for one of our colleges. I went to the web site and it said it's a 36 month degree!!

WTFreak. That doesn't make sense. It also said it'd be a bachelor of science degree, so again I have to say WTFreak.

I figured it'd be an 8-12 month course, like massage therapy, since it's so specialized.

Anyone have a digital photography degree have any insight?
