I dropped my camera, and it broke. The screen turned all white, and some of the pictures are half white, and the other half is the picture, is there any way I can fix it? Does anyone know how or who I can get to help me? Thanks

Unfortunately your camera is now a paperweight. Repairs will likely cost more than its worth so you may as well start shopping for its replacement.

Always use the neck strap or wrist strap that came with your camera. In 36 years of using my cameras I've never dropped one.

Check the review of five 10 megapixel digicams in the Sept. 2007 issue of Shutterbug magazine. You can also read them at shutterbug.com.

Once you've selected your new camera, check at cameraarmor. com and bonicadive.com to see if they offer protective covers and buy one.

Unless this is a really expensive camera, like hundreds of pounds, I'd just bin it and buy another as even if you can find anyone other than the manufacturer to repair it, the repairs will probably cost more than the camera is worth. Sorry.

There are really only two choices.

1. send it back to the manufacturer's authorized service center. They'll give you a bid for repair.

2. throw it away and go camera shopping.

sorry. but these cameras are pretty much impossible to repair yourself.

Go to a camera shop to fix it if possible or buy a new one.
