With so many headphone brands and types to choose from, it can be hard to select the right match for your MP3 player. There are the typical considerations--color, size, quality, style, features--but what about hearing health? With so many people investing in MP3 players, it's about time we consider the effects headphones are having on all of those ears.

The popular Apple iPod comes with in-ear headphones, also known as earbuds or earphones, as well as volume-limiting software within the latest updates. Some audiologists argue that in-ear headphones are actually better for hearing health, as they lie closer to your inner ear organs that process sound. Their location, they say, might just encourage people to listen to music with a lower volume.

Others, however, argue that in-ear headphones pose a greater threat to your ears, because of their proximity to inner ear organs.

Dr. Mont Stong, a research audiologist in the San Francisco Bay Area, believes that noise-cancelling is the feature to look for when choosing headphones.

I take a lot of photos indoor and in low-light environment and thinking of upgrading my current digital camera that doesn't do the job perfectly. I've been told to get one with a higher pixels or ISO rating.

Is this true? or there are other factors I need to take into account? Can you also recommend a good brand of compact digital camera I should buy? Size does matter for me.

I only get a couple channels that come in decent, but I used to be able to get FOX channel 6 clear enough to watch it, but now It doesn't come in at all. I have a crappy antenna, and I was just curious if there were any techniques that might help, for example, maybe speaker wire? And is there any particular type wire or metal that would help in picking up a signal better than another?

I've had Nextel for about the last two years, and the service (reception) on my phone has been getting so bad that I finally decided to switch to another company, and I chose Verizon because many of my friends and family have it. The phone I got is great (LG VX8600), and I get great service with it, much better than with Nextel, particularly when I'm indoors, and the customer reps with Verizon are friendly and easy to understand, and seem to actually know what they're doing! I was just curious to see if most people would agree that switching from Nextel to Verizon would be a good idea, or not, and why. Thanks for your answer!
