I've had Nextel for about the last two years, and the service (reception) on my phone has been getting so bad that I finally decided to switch to another company, and I chose Verizon because many of my friends and family have it. The phone I got is great (LG VX8600), and I get great service with it, much better than with Nextel, particularly when I'm indoors, and the customer reps with Verizon are friendly and easy to understand, and seem to actually know what they're doing! I was just curious to see if most people would agree that switching from Nextel to Verizon would be a good idea, or not, and why. Thanks for your answer!

Of course it was a good idea. I switched from T-Mobile to Verizon and it was the best choice I ever made.
Nextel/Sprint isn't that great even if they act like it. I've had many friends get a contract with Nextel/Sprint and now they're wishing they didn't.
Plus, Verizon is good if you have a lot of friends that have it so you all can talk for free. You can even talk to people with Amp'd Mobile for free because they now use the Verizon Network.
