I got a digital photo frame myself for christmas. It did not however come with a memory card which was necessary, this is probably the problem with yours. Go to a store with your frame and inquire, they will be only too glad to help as you will probably need to buy this memory card off them. If you do not know what store to go to type keywords into your search engine such as digital photo frame + (the area you want to search for a store). or ask whomever bought it for you where they got it just mention you need an accessory. Put on the software if it came with your computer.
Ok you plug your digital photo frame into the mains for power and into the usb connection on your computer, then turn it on. It will come up on your computer as something like Removable E, dragging the photos from your computer to your photo frame is just the same as copying and pasting onto an mpeg player. (you can resize your photos to fit more on if your memory card isnt big).
Now! after the photos are added you set up the slideshow. In mine you press enter to get options, right to move to the one you want and enter to choose it. Your manuel will guide you.
I did not need a card reader just the memory card. Good luck!
PS Mine had a problem displaying bmp files so I suggest you stick to jpeg.

The easiest way is to get a USB 2.0 memory card reader and just copy them from your PC onto the memory card. Another way depends on your camera. If you have the USB cable, you can plug your camera in and see if it will work as a card reader itself. Plug the camera in with the blank memory card inside, open your file management (typically it's "My Computer") and see if there's a drive letter for the camera. You should be able to copy and paste files right to the camera, which you can then use on your digital frame.

There is normally a usb cable to connect it to your computer, so you can download the images straight onto the frame. You might need to install software provided by the frame. Otherwise put them on a memory card and put it in the slot in the frame (if it has one)

Usualy they have built in card readers, and u just insert your memory card from the camara into the side of the DPF. Some do alow u to copy from the card to the photo frame. but others need the memory card to be left in...
