Can't wait to get one! To be able to put 5 movies on one dvd!! Woah!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gotta love it! Of course, there's gotta be a hd-dvd burner for computers coming out after that! I'm always converting VHS movies to dvd! I can't wait!!!

I would like to buy a cell phone but don't want to pay so much for it. I went to sprint to purchase a phone and i already had them telling me i had a previous account which after all the hassle the customer service/fraud dept tell them that i didnt have an account so i had to do a manual contract but not before i was told i had to cough up a $250 deposit plus the $130 for the phone and $36 activation fee... NOT WORTH IT. Im not sure why the deposit is so high but whatever. I wanted to see if I can purchase a phone online somewhere and have it activated at a store without deposits. I was looking for the LG Fusic, Sprint Treo 700, Samsung MM-A800, Smart Device 6700; Nextel i870, i920, or anything else in that area. I been contacting other businesses worldwide but waiting for reply. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. I want to do all options before i go with my last choice and that is go to another provider other than sprint/nextel.

I have a widescreen LCD "flat panel" TV and a Bose DVD player; the two are connected with an S-Video.

I rented a widescreen DVD and when I play it, it still puts bars across the top and bottom. although the picture does fill the width of the tv. The only only way I can get it to fill the whole viewable screen was to use the TV's "zoom" feature.

What's the deal? Shouldn't a widescreen movie fill the screen of my widescreen tv?

My current amp/receiver that I got now can pump 105 watts at 8 ohms, which match my speakers... but my sorround polk speakers's recommended amplification is 20-100 watts/channel.

Two questions: what is that 20 mean? And finally will a 5 watt difference really blow up the sorround speakers or is it still pretty safe to use a 105 watt receiver?

I am amateur photographer looking to buy my first digital SLR. Sony Alpha A100 DSLR has built-in image stabilization, but the reports are saying it has noise at high ISO settings. How important is IS for an amateur photographer versus better ISO quality in the Nikons and Canons? I travel alot in developing countries where it is usually not convenient to have a tripod, so IS would seem to be a big plus. Still, I'd like to hear from folks with more photography experience on whether this is a gimmick or whether this makes it a better deal than the Rebel XT or the D50/D80.

i have a verizon and the connections are brilliant but its a little pricy for me. i dont talk a lot so i want a go phone. tracfone looks cheap but im afraid the connection is going to be poor.

Plasma, LCD, projector... although I'm leaning more to the projector side. I'm looking at the In76 by infocus and i don't know if i should get it. I don't know if i should get this dlp projector or a wall mounted lcd or plasma. For a lcd tv, i'm currently looking at the "46 BRAVIA XBR® LCD Flat Panel HDTV" from Sony that will come out later this august (2006). However, it does seem a little expensive for only a 46'. So what would be a better bargain for great picture quality and longetivity. Let's say money isn't a problem at this stage.

So in76 vs best plasma vs best LCD...
Whatever I'm going to buy is going to be my gaming television. (not that i play my 360 for hours and hours nonstop so i probably won't get burn-ins from plasma anytime soon after my purchase...)
