cant stop the rapid text on ym samsung D407?

ok well i love the phone but i cant stop the rapid text or whatever you see ill hit the 4 botton twice trying to hit the h and it will say hi but i need ot take that off and i cant find where or how please help

you should be able to use your phone's menu button to pull up a menu, select "text entry mode" or Text setup or something to that extent, then change the entry mode from auto or iTap or whatever it's set on to regular. good luck!!

Throw the phone into a rapid.
