I would like to buy a cell phone but don't want to pay so much for it. I went to sprint to purchase a phone and i already had them telling me i had a previous account which after all the hassle the customer service/fraud dept tell them that i didnt have an account so i had to do a manual contract but not before i was told i had to cough up a $250 deposit plus the $130 for the phone and $36 activation fee... NOT WORTH IT. Im not sure why the deposit is so high but whatever. I wanted to see if I can purchase a phone online somewhere and have it activated at a store without deposits. I was looking for the LG Fusic, Sprint Treo 700, Samsung MM-A800, Smart Device 6700; Nextel i870, i920, or anything else in that area. I been contacting other businesses worldwide but waiting for reply. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. I want to do all options before i go with my last choice and that is go to another provider other than sprint/nextel.

Get a Samsung T809. They are $149 with plan and here's why it's worth it: It has an MP3 Player, Games, a Camera and Camcorder (Both with great quality), Bluetooth, Instant Messaging, and a Web Browser. It's also an International phone so you can call wherever you want and whenever you want. It comes with a battery, a headset (or you could use speakerphone), a charger and stuff like that. You could buy the case on tmobile.com for $14-$19. I have it it's nice.

If the carrier wanted a deposit at their store even if you buy the phone online there will still be a deposit required. However the phones will be less expensive. Check this online store out.

there's a new cellphone company called Tricket and you can make phone call any time any day for the same price which is $45p/m, but the plan work just in your city, I mean if go out of the city the cell could not work.

u can buy them on ebay but u need a sim card for most of them. or u can just buy them without a sim card. i did that my phone is great
