okay so on my computer whenever i try to move a file it comes up with a thing saying "you'll need to provide administrator permission to move this file" then i click continue .... then it comes up with another one saying "windows needs your permission to continue" then i have to click ok... is there anyway of turning it off so i can just move files without the boxes coming up??? plz help!

im looking for 1 that is 10mb or less (at least less than 15mb), if its over 15mb, dont bother telling me, im looking for round at 10mb or less. and it must be free. dont say microsoft excel viewer, ive tried that, thats 42mb. and im looking for just a word processor, dont say open office, microsoft office, jarte, or abiword - there all over 20mb. im looking for a simple word processor and simple spreadsheet that is round about 10mb or less(dont bother giving me 1 that is over 15mb).

i want to play .MKVfiles ..in ratio 4:3 so in my monitor i can get full screen without any black lines top or bottem (widescreen) ..i have jetaudio its much better than VLC but can not play MKV files in 4:3 anyway is there any player that i can use and VLC don't have any sound control like 5.1 sound so i really need some thiing good t o play thess files ..

I'm making a nice spreadsheet for my Poker Club. We accumulate points each time we play. I have 2 tables in my spreadsheet, one table showing the placement for that weeks game 1st place - 10th place. The second table shows how many points that person earned for each week. Basically I want to put in a formula so I ONLY have to enter in the rankings and the points automatically populate. For instance 1st place gets 12 points, 2nd gets 10, ect... all the way to 6th place. 7th-10th all get "0" points. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I just put leopard on my macbook and now ichat is not working right when i try to add a buddy it pops up a message saying: The server refused you request. it says that when i try to add a buddy. I booted up yesterday and my normal desktop did not come up.I have no icons.I just have my background picture so I cannot navigate from my desktop.The only way I can do anything is to hit "ctrl alt delete" and than switch tasks.How can I restore my desktop?Thank you for the help.

Ok so i used 3 programs to recover data which mysteriously disappeared from my NTFS pc hard drive. When i use these programs i see the pictures/videos i want to recover. When i reocover them nothing... 98% are corrupt. WHY? if the program can see the files why can't it just recover them? Would i disk defragment or cleanup fix the problem?

I've tried OpenOffice, and while it seems ok, I figured it wasn't worth spending time learning because I have Microsoft Office. But I'm curious to know what are some other open source programs and how do they compare with their popular Windows counterparts.

I would be especially interested in programs like PhotoShop, FreeHand, Publisher, and others.

For what it's worth, I already use Filezilla for FTP.

I am in a PSP ( Paint shop Pro) group. Sometimes they upload files for us. when I try to download it, it will only let me save it as a Document, but its a ZIP file, with .Gif pictures in them
Everyone else can download it, I can even download it on the wifes laptop, transfer it to my PC and then open it with no problem,
When the same file is uploaded to Megaload, I can get it and unzip it.
I have no problem downloading from anywhere else.
I have Winzip, Winrar and Extractnow so I have no problem unzipping, there are no filters on here, I am useing Windows XP Pro.
It is not the unzipping that is the problem. it is the fact that I can only SAVE it as a Document
Enyone any ideas why I can't download this file as a Zip file

Every church activity (Sunday and Wednesday) needs a Power Point display showing activity information. I make the presentation at home, burn it on a CD -R take it to church, run it, then bring the disk home to copy another power point presentation. But, one copy is all it will allow, there's certainly room on the disk. Someone help please? I Re-Formatted the disk which did not help.
