Try "Print Screen" (Prt Sc) button.
It will copy whatever is in the active display.
Open up Microsoft Paint and paste it (CTRL+V).
Crop the photo (or select the part of the "Print Screen" you want and save it in a new file)
Save it as bmp or jpeg file
Print.
My condolences on your loss

jpg is a picture.
Only way I know of to make a Word doc into a jpg would be to print it, then scan it as a jpg.
Don't understand why the background photo is tiling. What are you trying to do? Have the text in a text box over (in front of) the photo? Create a text box, then click the "fill" button on the Drawing toolbar and select "no fill." This way the text will display over the photo, but the whole area will not be covered because of "no fill."
If this is as clear as mud, send me a message.

You can click the Print Screen button on the keyboard and open MS Paint and click on Edit and click Paste. Or if you want a better quality you'll need a printer and scanner so you can print it out in its highest quality then scan it in its highest resolution and save it as a jpeg.

Call the document up on your screen; push the "print screen" button on your upper right hand keyboard; open up your Windows Paint program; drop the document into the Paint Program; save as photo.

Download Snag it (http://www.techsmith.com/screen-capture.asp )
or
Open your word document
> once it's widely open and you can see it completely, press "Print Screen". It's somewhere on your keyboard.
> open Microsoft Paint
> click on edit > paste
Save the file as a jpeg.

You could save it as a .pdf file. Then load it into Adobe Acrobat and save it as a jpeg. I think it does depend on what versions of Word or Acrobat that you have.
