In Microsoft Word, when you look under file, you can see the most recently added, read, or edited documents. I'm sharing a computer today and I don't really want anyone to know the document titles or see them pop up if they use Word also. How do I get rid of that?

Hey All,

I am trying to find out how to make an equation for an entire column.

Here is my current scenario:

I have a column for time in, and I have a column for time out. I would like to have a column for total hours worked for each day that will take the difference of time in from time out. I know how to do this for each individual row(=D4-C4), but I would like to set it up so that the column automatically does it.

i dont know if I or somebody else has installed JAVA on my computer but i want to uninstall it.....anyway is it some important program that the computer needs or can i get rid of it with no trouble in the future ???

I am completing a PDF form, that has a box at the buttom of it that has indicated "Please Print" this section.

I wondered what does it mean for a PDF that is not fillable, that says "Please print",

I tried downloading the new version of Acrobat Reader (version 8.1.1), but it is not fillable there also.

Though I guss the form should be fillable to be able to type on it but what does "Please print" in that section in the box mean?
Does it mean that "that information should be typed?!"
I know that I should print whole the form and send it, but not that only part.

It also has a part for "Signature" so it should be printed first and then be filled.

Does that "Please print"

I'm thinking about getting a new computer now that they have gotten cheaper. But all the ones that I have looked at has windows vista. I don't know anything about the program.

When I extract the file, it seems to be extracting it to an .avi file, but I can't play it in Windows Media Player (well, the sound plays) and I can't play it in Quicktime (version 7). When I tried it in Quicktime, the window is just white. Nothing happens.

I tried extracting it with 7-zip instead, but that did not work either.

What am I doing wrong?

In excel, the alphabets ",b,d,a,c,d,b,a,a" written in different columns. So whats the process to find out the total no. of a,b,c & d in a different cell. Pivot table doesn't work on this condition.

If there any formula to find out it?

Plz tell me as soon as possible, its very important......

Here's the deal-I have on my desktop as most people do, default shortcuts to 'My pictures', 'My computer', My network places', 'Recycle bin'. These four will not work. When I double click them the desktop icons(all desktop icons) dissappear and the Windows toolbar dissappears for a few seconds and reappears but does not go to the folder. I cannot access them unless I run a third party program like MS Digital Photo. But, My screensaver is My Pictures slideshow and it works. Any Ideas. I ran a repair (chkdsk /r) and it didn't help. Suggestions?????

Can anyone tell me, if you can create role over type effects like flash can with image ready? I dont have the money to buy flash cs 3, but i want to create pages that you can click on certain things on the page and have it take you to a differant page, or open certain files. Or at least have the page do something when you move the mouse over it or click on it.
Can anyone help me out?

We made a bunch of powerpoints with custom animations and video clips. Now we want to make them into movies and put them into IDVD. The thing is, when we make it into a movie (file, make movie button on powerpoint), the animations get all messed up. Is there a way this will not happen, or a way I can put a powerpoint into IDVD WITHOUT making it into a movie? PLEASE HELP!!!!

Here is my situation; In an Excel Workbook, I have a worksheet (named: ws1) with information as a table, with the first row as field names (ie: Brand, Model, Serial Number etc) and in the same workbook I have another worksheet (named: ws2) as template, like a form with information about my company, logo, etc and some cells I need to fill them with the information in the other worksheet, but I need only one row from the table per each printed sheet from my template.

In other works a want to print each row from [ws1] but using [ws2] as a template, I don't want to create a worksheet per each row or typing again the same data. Is a lot of work!

Is that posible or I am out of my mind?

On my desktop, if I push my power button to shutdown XP, it takes less then 10 seconds and done. If I shutdown via the main user screen, it takes almost a minute. Both actions cause the XP shutdown screen to display. Why is the software action so much slower?

I often will save a file and see earlier versions in the common dialog that I would like to delete first. The problem is that when I click on the file to delete it, it changes the name of the newer file I an trying to save to the name of the file I am deleting. Is there a way to delete the file without changing the name in the File name field?
