I accidentally dragged my Show Desktop icon off of my quick launch bar and I can't put it back. help!!?

I am only able to add a shortcut back to the quick launch and if I delete the original icon from the desktop, the shortcut won't work. What can I do?

Restore “Show Desktop Icon” to Quick Launch on Taskbar

If the Show Desktop icon is deleted from Quick Launch, the procedure below will recreate the file.
Open Notepad and enter the following text:

[Shell]
Command=2
IconFile=explorer.exe,3
[Taskbar]
Command=ToggleDesktop
Save the new file as Show Desktop.scf then drag and drop the icon on the Quick Launch bar or whatever location you want the shortcut to appear.

1. Open Notepad
2. Type the following lines in it :

[Shell]
Command=2
IconFile=explorer.exe,3
[Taskbar]
Command=ToggleDesktop

3. Click File-Save
4. In the path box, copy/paste the following and click Save :
"%appdata%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\Show Desktop.scf"
