Just kidding.
Are you trying to copy and paste using the mouse? If that's not working properly, trying using the keyboard shortcuts:
Ctrl+C for Cut
Ctrl+V for Paste
Ctrl+X for Cut
If that doesn't work, hopefully someone more knowledgeable will come along and bail you out.

Try to open it in notepad or wordpad, then look for the phrase that you want to copy.
