Here are 8 reasons open source, such as kubuntu
(www.kubuntu.org) is better than Vista. Add your reasons to this list!
1. Vista requires activation hassles, while kubuntu does not.
2. Vista costs about $200, while kubuntu is free.
3. Vista requires more maintenance, such as disk defragmenter, while open source does not.
4. Vista does not have a live CD to try it before purchase, while Kubuntu does.
5. Vista gets infected with about 114,000 virii that do not infect open source software.
6. Vista takes much longer to install and get online than Kubuntu does. Kubuntu will get you online in about 10 minutes, while it will take a couple hours to get online with Vista, from a non formatted hard drive.
7. You can copy the Kubuntu Cd, and give it to your friends, and they will thank you, and so will Kubuntu. If you give them your Vista CD, Microsoft thinks you are a crook.
8. Vista has a bunch of advertising on their CD, such as AOL, while Kubuntu does not.

Control Start Time&Date. We cannot change time that way I
was told. Microsoft didnot help customers. I will not pay for

i have a 4 gig white ipod nano. i have 1 computer and 1 laptop. my laptop doesnt have itunes installed on it but my comuter does and has all my music on there. i have my itunes set on having it update my ipod everytime i plug it in. my computer completely died this morning.. and my ipod is out of batteries. i installed itunes on my laptop but i dont wanna hook my ipod up to it because it might delet all my music. is there anyway to make it so i can just drag and drop music from my library to my ipod without having it update my ipod? and also how can i charge it without itunes popping up? please help me im so confused

My PC has both operating systems, but sometimes I only need to do a small stuff on linux while running windows, and I have to restart with linux, and when done restart again with windows.
So I was wondering if I can possibly start my Mandriva Linux in a window while running windows without the need to restart?
What the best program to do that?

I'm interested in learning Excel, but need to do so at home. I need real-world exercises--is there something out there like that? For users, how did you learn Excel? I need more job skills to re-enter the workplace, but I can't attend classes at this time. Thanks.

First I run Norton system works for antivirus and spyware removal and firewall.
Second the wake on lan option in BIOS is turned off.
third I have the firewall enabled.
And i am not hitting the reboot button
It will go throught the shutdown process and then about half way through it reboots. No matter how many times I shut it down It will reboot. I have to cut the power in order to keep it turned off.

Every so often, my iTunes stop working and they dont even start playing (the thing stays a 0 secs)

I have Limewire Pro 4.12.11 and i have installed the Limewire acceleration patch. I have a connection of 2Mbps and i get a download rate of 45kbps when I download a movie. It takes more time.

Is there any tips to increase the speed, plz help.

I turned off all the auto-open and auto-run features, but Limewire (software) opens on its own after I exit, in about 30 seconds. The only solution I personally found was uninstalling the software. I wanted to find the files that were still running, using Windows Task Manager, but my task manager doesn't seem to open anymore (help with that would be great too...). Any ideas?

I dont know which Active X it is but I know there is one damaged or possibly even deleted, I'm not sure which. But I can't seem to download anything but my yahoo toolbar. Everytime I try downloading the little green bar at the bottom of my page stops about halfway and it just stays there. Someone help!
