Is Microsoft spreading the lie that open source is command line and you have to be a geek to use it?
Do people not know that good open source software, such as Kubuntu, is easier to use than Windows?

Some open source does use the command line to install it. (but not the good ones) personally, i prefer ubuntu, but I dont understand why people are paying hundreds for programs like microsoft office when open office is better. -and free! People just don't know about it, are scared off by this myth, or think it isnt as good. osalt.com is a great place to look.

I have been a linux user for years and support it to death but

1. getting a printer to work in linux is hell
2. Geting a wirelss network card to work in linux is also hell
3. Getting a USB adsl modem to work in linux is hell with bells and whistles
4. To these or many other things in linux you will have to do command line - not in windows
5. Knowledge of using Linux is not diffused throughout society, many many people have a working knowledge of windows a lot lot less have knowledge of Linux (unlike me)
