i am doing divorse papers and they are pdf and need it to be word

i haven't found any free programs to convert to word, but you can get demo and trial versions that should work for you. Here's a link to one:

You'll need acrobat to (maybe ) do this:

Copy and paste.

If that does not work, convert using another converter (pdf995 works for this) and try again.

If no Acrobat, try a OCR program (comes with tons of scanners.

If you have non of the above (and can't find them on cnet.com) your only option is to request them fronm the attorney, or re-key..

There IS a utility (40 bucks or so) that claims to do this, expect tp rproofread though)

I had this same problem once but for other reasons.
The way i did it was to search online for a free conversion program.
