Presently DVDFab Platinum (shareware) seem to be the best one

I've been using dvdshrink.....it's crazy outdated I know but i just like it. It doesn't handle newer encryptions by itself and it relies on the nero burning engine so it's a good idea to keep nero installed as well.

dvdfab is my main ripper. it's updated regularly and will handle all the new releases....I get about 20~25 a month off the blockbuster plan and never have a problem. dvdvab decryper is freeware and will rip anything you throw at it. they also have gold and platinum versions (registration hacks are all over p2p networks) that have more options.

I still like using shrink so i usually rip with fab and load the files into shrink but if you pick up platinum edition than you shouldn't need anything else to go with it.

They all seem to have problems and are a p in the rear. Some have been praising Power DVD, lately. I know I really don't like Nero. Check out Clone DVD. It is great for simply copying any DVD. The best thing for movies, in my opinion, is putting a dvd recorder and cheap dvd player in tandem with svhs cables. So I hear.

Hello,
I've been using Ashampoo for these very special "burning tasks". You can download it for free here http://bit.ly/1lAUz2K
I have been using it for years
I hope it helps

DVDFABdecrypter
Alcohol120
DVDshrink

I use these along with nero for backing up all my dvds. Try a search or download.com for them.
