I know nothing is ever truly free, and wonder if it is wise for me to download Reg Cure, does anyone out there have any advise for me about this? I have a Toshiba Portege M205. It is...okay... not the best thing I have ever worked on. I am a graphic artist and illustrator and LOVE a tablet, but this machine is always chugging along.
Yes I have all the upgrades. I have a 1G RAM and have very little stored on my hard drive to help increase speed. But is it the OS system that is holding me back? Would my programs, (Corel, Illustrator, Photoshop etc.) run better on VISTA?

Is Vista goign to help my Toshiba run better? Is it worth the upgrade?

I have Kubuntu 6.10 and I can't play DVDs, WMVs, AVIs, etc. Music works fine, but Kaffeine or any other player doesn't play any videos, it just sits at a black screen where the movie should be. Does anyone know how to fix this?

BTW I have an HP Pavilion zd8000 laptop if that helps.

I dont want to have to use the CD. seeing as how I will probably not always have my CD's with me when I want to play it.

can you get the code from an executed program. like..the black screen that shows up when you execute your program. can you get the code back from your application? i don't know if that was confusing

but this is what i mean..let's say you made a program and executed it. the black application shows up and your computer saves that application. but does not save your code. is there a way to reverse everything and get the code from the application that was executed

whenever i click "sync movies" it says "are u sure u want to sync movies onto the ipod? everything else will be replaced with movies" ...does that mean all my songs will be erased??

Ok. My computer recently had a Trojan or a worm. It deleted alot of stuff from my computer. They are as follows: Calculator, Paint, Wordpad, All default games, Outlook Express, and Windows Media Player. It also made it so that the volume icon is gone from the toolbar(and cannot be brought back though the contol panel), and random error messages come up for almost every program that say "This program has encountered an error and needs to be shut down". The programs continue to work if I ignore the error messages, but this has to be caused by something. The worst part of the whole thing is that the CD Driver has been deleted, and any attempts to delete and/ or repair whats left have been unsuccessful. I'm assuming the trojan or worm did this so that i cant run a repair with the windows installation disc.

Ok, now I need serious help here. Don't spam or give me pointless answers. only answer if you think you can help me fix this problem. Thank you.
