Anti virus, firewall, spyware software should be disabled, or uninstalled. Basically the only thing in your System Tray should be the time and speaker icon.

Apples and Oranges my buddy, you may not learn them by way of clock velocity or processor velocity. A Mac and workstation may well be the two matched, have the comparable clock/ processor/ volume of ram, the Mac would be quicker. it fairly is the way the utility (working equipment and courses) and workstation(hardware) works that counts. workstation's purely seem frustratingly slow while in comparison with a Mac. Macintos(hardware and OS) purely make extra effective use memory, the graphical interface and document storage. workstation residing house windows and private workstation seem painted on, and once you click a link or press a button it style of sounds like an eternity before something occurs, that's the ideal i can describe it. i might wager you're able to decrease the cost of the Mac in 0.5 and it would nonetheless be quicker. workstation's seem much extra memory hungry. settle for it.

I bet you're applying to work at Circuit City, huh? First of all, installing an OS from within an OS is retarded. It's not like it's impossible or anything, but it is entirely unnecessary. And if you didn't know that answer for Circuit City questionarrie, how are you ever going to fix computers there?
