Please help, Money is not an issue i already have a fast computer its just not performing like it use to i did all thos disk defragmenter and they work but not good enough please help

it seems like every few days, as soon as i get online, there's another windows update downloading...it wouldn't be so bad, but i have a really cruddy dial-up connection out here in the boonies and everything else comes to a near-halt while the stuff is downloading...then, if i'm away from the computer for more than a few seconds once the download is complete, my computer gets shut down for a re-start...i'm glad for the updates, but enough already...

I downloaded a program from the net onto my home PC and want to transfer it to my work PC but do not have internet access at work. Can I burn the program files to a CD and transfer them this way or not? And if so, does the CD need to be burned as a data disc or what?

Since installing pc is slow, It constantly asks me to run full check. Which I did. 3 times today. It don,t appear to work properly, been to site ,done latest version etc. e-mailed them and they said it's fine. If I delete it and re-install will licence still work? They could not answer that question. bit peeved

VNC lets me reboot the remote PC and view dual monitor mode but Remote Desktop doesn't. On the other hand, Remote Desktop handles control keys better than VNC.

My computer was running Windows 98. I ran Windows XP Home Edition. Everything was good for a week and now Yahoo!Music won't play videos. They keep telling me to install windows media player 9 final release. What is that and do i need to reinstall windows XP. what happened???? Please help????

I'm doing a project on the Constitution, so I've had to type "Constitution" a million times and I kept misspelling it as I was typing since I type so fast (I'd miss a T or an an I or something), so I decided to set the AutoCorrect option to automatically fix it to the right word regardless of how I spelled it so I wouldn't have to keep going back and fixing it.

But, I spelled it "Constiution" and as I went to click AutoCorrect, I accidentally hit "Add to Dictionary". So now it says it's spelled right when it's not.

Is there anyway to REMOVE the misspelled word from the dictionary?? Or do I have to always keep going back and checking to make sure it's right from now on?

I can't find the dictionary anywhere to try and remove it... Help!

I'm typing recipes in microsoft word trying to make them into a cookbook. I haven't had any problems up until now. When I typed in the title and hit enter for a line break it automatically double spaced it. I checked in the settings under the paragraph menu and it says it's set to single space. How can I get it to stop double spacing??
