I downloaded a program from the net onto my home PC and want to transfer it to my work PC but do not have internet access at work. Can I burn the program files to a CD and transfer them this way or not? And if so, does the CD need to be burned as a data disc or what?

Just burn it as a data cd, but make sure the liscence allows transfering it, and if its at your workplace, make sure your employer allows this
