If you installed WINDOWS XP without making a separate partition on your hard drive, you have problems. You cannot have two Operating Systems (Windows 98, and Windows XP)installed on the same partition or same hard drive that has no partitions. Partition means you ran a software program that divides your hard drive into partition. Each partition is treated as a separate hard drive.

To run two or more operating systems on the same computer, each has to be installed either on separate hard drives, or separate partitions on the same hard drive.

YOU HAVE TO REINSTALL YOUR OPERATING SYSTEM/S

Boot System with WIN XP. READ THE SCREEN
Select new install. DELETE ALL PARTITIONS
Create two partitions, one = 20GB, the other the rest of the disk size. If you also want to install WINDOWS 98, Shut off your computer NOW! Take out the Windows XP disk, boot up with WIN 98 installation disk. Format NTSF and Install in 20GB partition. Install motherboard drivers and utilities, install all 98 drivers, Anti Virus and firewall.

For WIN XP, boot with WIN XP, select new install, do not delete partitions! Select larger partition, format in NTFS. Install motherboard drivers, utilities and all XP software.

System DUAL boot, you select which you want!

If you want to stop any little windows annoyances and get windows 98 completely out of the picture from sticking its noes in winXp business, you need to do a little work. So, here is what I recommend from personal experience:

1. Save your important files on a storage media like a flush drive.
2. Format your hard drive
3. Reinstall windows.
4. Go to windows updates and download any and all of them
6. Reinstall all of your programs that you need and/or like
7. Do a check disc and a defrag.
8. Get on the Internet and look for TuneUp Utilities 2006
9. Download the free trial program, familiarize yourself with it and use it to clean your registry and other things.
10. It will take you a little time but it is the only way to get rid of the old OS from sticking its ugly head into the new one.

Good luck

Go to Windows Update windowsupdate.microsoft.com and download Windows Media Player - you just need a newer version of the player. Nothing to worry about. :)

On a Mac, shift/administration/3 takes a image of the show. in case you press shift/administration/4, you are able to click and drag over the section you choose for; the image is taken once you launch the mouse button.
