I'm typing recipes in microsoft word trying to make them into a cookbook. I haven't had any problems up until now. When I typed in the title and hit enter for a line break it automatically double spaced it. I checked in the settings under the paragraph menu and it says it's set to single space. How can I get it to stop double spacing??

CTRL-2 makes it double space, and CTRL-1 makes it single space.

Or, alternatively, you can not type in the title and continue typing the cookbook, and then put the title last.

Check the paragraph formatting again and see if it might be set to leave space either before or after a paragraph. ???

If you are running Office 2007 make sure you have your "Style" set correctly.

Probably set to 'headlines' rather than 'body'.
