You could print your document, scan it back in to your computer and then save it as a jpeg.

You can use a screen capture program such as screenrip32 to take snapshots of your microsoft word document and then save those snapshots as jpeg images.
If your microsoft word document is too long vertically to capture entirely in one snapshot, because not all of it appears on your screen at the same time, you can take several snapshots, while scrolling down on your word document, until you have captured the whole document, and then you can use an image editing program such as Adobe Photoshop to cut and paste all the images into one long jpeg image.

Screenrip32 is freeware, which means you can download it legally for free.

I'm not 100% certain but you could try opening it in paint and then saving it again in the jpeg format. I haven't done it for ages so I'm not sure that's how I did it. Hope it helps.
