I need a media converter (software) that can convert various video formats into quicktime movie (mov) or mp4 files. I want software that is free to use and is not a trial product that doesn't do the job completely.

I am trying to do this because my mp3/video player (sansa e280) can play videos and movies but I have to use their media converter to turn the video sideways because of the small screen and because it changes any video format to mov. I was wondering if I change a movie file (avi) to mov or mp4 before I put it through the converter, it wouldn't have problems like the audio playing faster than the video.

I have had the audio play faster than the video when I converted an avi directly with their converter but I have not had problems when I converted an mp4.

Reasons this PC Failed
My comp (which I am 100% sure is genuine windows since it came with a Dell) failed one of the validation tests on microsoft.com

Reasons this PC Failed
Microsoft Office XP Professional with FrontPage:
The product key used to install Office has been blocked by Microsoft.

I've been able to install IE7 and other things through windows update (which seemed to use a different method of validating) and I ran the validation test offered on the site and it confirmed it was good. But I cannot get anything from microsoft.com/downloads
Does anyone know how to fix this?

I have a DSL conenction on my laptop at home. It takes some time to start up - when it has finally loaded all the programs, it is ok for 30 minutes or so.
Then it becomes very slow. I checked the task manager / Process - the explorer.exe shows with 95% or more of CPU usage, instead of the System Idle Process.

How can this be resolved?

I want to insert a column of numbers from cell A1 through to cell A 30 starting from number 1001 and ending with number 1030. Instead of keying in each number individually is there another way of inputting the data by dragging the cursor down the column? Can the fill handle be used for this somehow?

I have a Del laptop and was not supplied with the Windows XP Home disk by Dell. Now I want to reinstall Windows XP Home after formatting my hard drive. Can I use a Windows XP Home disk from someone else and use the product key that is stuck to my computer and install the OS on my laptop ?

Basically, I was trying to free up some space on my hard drive and only use Microsoft Word, so I thought I would get rid of some office programs. Little did I know it would remove the whole package! crap. Maybe I'm an idiot... But now I'd like to know how to get it back? Is there a site out there where I can download just Microsoft Word for free? Can I somehow still back track and find it on my computer? Any help would be appreciated.
