How can I convert a mov file to *avi,*mpg,*mpeg,*wmv file?

If you want to buy a well-known and established piece of software, you can upgrade the free version of Quicktime to Quicktime Pro. That'll let you export .mov files to other formats such as AVI.

If you want a free video converter, SUPER is a good one. It's a GUI on top of some open source conversion tools.
