On my computer its says that rearanging my hard disk will help it run quicker. I clicked on Analyze and it recommended that i should defragmentate. Should I do this? Will it make it go quicker and will it delete any of my programmes?

I know that Professional is better than Home, but is the Home OK for personal use? I have never come across a Home Edition, bcuz in India most use pirated XP Professional. I have one too, but I am going to change to genuine Home in 2 days(I want the MS updates). Can you please tell me all the features of Pro which are missing in Home? Also please rate both out of 10. Do I also need to genuine Office XP to receive the updates?

No advice on using loads of antivirus and antispyware and fiewall and antispam, please. I have a very good security on my PC.

do you know of a program that gathers the data of a particular mp3 song and put it in word or excel or notepad? I need to make a list of all the mp3's in my hard disk, sort them according to title or artist. I had more than a thousand songs in my hard drive so i was having a hard time. I just thought maybe there is an easier way.I you happen to know please refer me to it.

I want to add some personal appointments in my office outlook calender.We use microsoft outllook2003 and its shared.As I dont want to maintain a seperate calender or dairy for my personal appoinments,I want to use the same office outlook calender.When I add a appointment,how to hide it so that others who share my calender should not be able to see the details of my personal meetings???

I just started getting this IE problem which then terminates IE.
Add-on failure, I have disabled this add-on and all seems okay right now. File: FLASH.OCX (not verified) macromedia, inc. macromedia flash player 7.0r19.
I have updated and ran my symantec AntiVirus and spybot - no probs showed.
Anyone know what this is, what this means, what else can I do, is this a virus?

Not looking for nero or products like that cause they do not do archive, incremental / sync/ prompt when disk is full on dvd ..
we do however use nero to formet the disk to be like a hard drive

I just got a sorta new computer, it's windows XP home sp2 just like my old one. But this one will close down my Internet connection when I switch from one user account to another. my old computer never did that I remember that it would ask me if I wanted to close down the connection when I switched I set it so it wouldn't. But this new one is already set to shut off the connection, I wanted to know if there was a way to switch it so it won't?

I guess the real question would be, can a computer with only 2.19GHz possibly run WSP2? (The minimum requirement is 233MHz - is that the same as 2.33GHz?) I'm guessing the reason why microsoft won't let me access the update for WSP2 is because my system doesn't meet the requirement, but is it at all possible for me to download it from somewhere else, and have it work just tolerably well?

I tried downloading from other websites, and opened the file after it downloaded, and it would extract or copy files, or whatever. But it hasn't updated my computer to WSP2, is there something else I have to do? Or is it just my computer not meeting the requirements?

Any comments at all would be appreciated, thanks for reading...

I've looked all over the internet for this driver and I just can't find it. It's for my sister-in-law, she can't find the disc for it. All the information I know is it's a
