Microsoft (a..k.a. Bill) will not, as they will not gain anything, and would be infact losing money and customers. Linux and windows are major rivals, and would be more likely that you'll see Zelda for the PS3 than IE for Linux.

You have to remember, they don't have to do anything to IE, as it is their product to make, not for us to make. It's like saying that since you make burgers in Burger King, that you would have to make Burritos for Mexicans and Miso for Japanese.

Never natively, some would report otherwise but it is ran over a compatibility layer like emulators, now virtualization is on the rise expect Windows XP running full speed on Linux then you run stuff like IE on top of that.

Linux is a competitor of Windows, Uncle Bill would rather it go away like OS/2 then supporting it in any shape or form.

Never. Bill Gates wants money, the best way is to create more Windows computers. If he makes Linux software, that promotes something other than Windows. Just saying :)

Uh, newsflash, Bill left the 'company' awhile back. He and the wifey are off being philanthropists with their $$ and even Warren is giving them 1/2 his $$ now, not waiting until he dies. So, I doubt HE will be doing anything for linux.
