I've Built A New Computer But Haven't Decided On Xp Home Or Pro Which Is Better For Games?

OK. I was downloading a new internet explorer on a windows XP computer, after 1 hour and a half i just cancelled because it didn't seem to be doing anything, ( except it did say uninstalling previous internet explorer).


I have broadband, and cannot access anything, I'm only on here because yahoo is my homepage, other then clicking on my internet symbol i cannot access anything other then my yahoo page

A message appears "The specified module cannot be found"

What have i done? I can click links, If you think it is my internet explorer can you give me the link to download it. if not what do you think it is.

Help is extremely appreciated!

I am trying to save some files from my hard drive onto a CD-RW, however when i try to alter these files it says they are read-only. I have tried to change to the properties to remove the read-only option. Then it comes up with an error message. Is there any way to remove this to save and alter these files accordingly!

Some how I have corrupted current version of adobe reader. If I wait for new version and download will that fix the problem ?
I cannot currently uninstall or install adobe reader. They keep telling me that SpellDict.msi is on a cd or other disk !!

i downloaded the sims 2 off of bit torrent. it's an rar file so i downloaded win rar. it has 4 discs (not physical discs, but the files are listed as discs) when i go through win rar it shows the four discs being downloaded one at a time (takes about 15min), but after it does this nothing happens. how do i actually get to play the game? can anyone help? i would really appreciate it.

I run Outlook from 3 PCs. I'm trying to configure each to connect to our corporate Exchange server and to leave mail on the server so that messages are available from any PC. My home PC seems to be deleting mail off the exchange server so that I can't read it from any other boxes. Is there a setting to leave mail on the server so that it remains accessible?

IE7 looks more modern on the contrary firefox looks exactly the same.For a laptop, IE7 saves screen space when using tabs.
But everybody says firefox is safer, is this still the case?
IE7 takes longer to install because it resets your security features.
Not all websites run firefox and my scrolling button on my laptop won't work with firefox.

I'm looking for a multi visit route planning software where I can input postcodes and b given the best route
yeah as I was saying I want to be able put in the postcodes in no perticular order and have the program organize my visits in the best travelling order so I can then program the tomtom sat nav(which won't do this for me) unlike autoroute where they stay in the order that i put them in please help ins costing me a fortune in petrol as it is. Many thanks ps i have also tried aa, rac route planning websites and michellen PLEASE HELP

I've downloaded a movie from the net, and now, I want to burn it into a VCD so that I can watch it on normal VCD/DVD players. The thing is, the usual VCD burning software (I'm using PowerGo) would not allow me to write/burn it into one CD as it exceeds the time, and I don't know how to separate that 1 hour 30 minutes movie to 2 CDs.. please tell me if there is any software that I can use? Or what should I do? Thanks in advance...
