Ctrl C will copy any selected picture from another file (e.g., .doc or .xls) or from most online web pages.
Ctrl V will paste the copied picture into Word where the cursor is. Use Format Picture in Word to adjust the inserted picture to your liking.
Alternatively, you can Insert/Picture/ while in Word's toolbar and select one of the following: File, Clip Art
Use File if you have a .jpg or similar file (a digital photo) you want to insert. Use Clip Art if you want to put a cartoon or such from online or your own clip art folder into Word.
A picture is worth a 1,000 words; good idea using pictures.

Go to Insert at the top of Word, then choose Picture, then choose From File. You will then be able to search your computer for the picture that you want to insert into Word.
