I am in need of a decent sound mixing program, I want to be able to mix a few songs for a project I am doing, and I need a freeware app. Can anyone recommend some good names of programs that are typically for novices?

why is it that even though i set my homepage to yahoo.com, firefox doesn't take me there when it opens. it takes me to a blank page. I have to push the home button for it to take me there.

PLEASE TELL ME THE IMPOSSIBLE IS POSSIBLE! I'm heartbroken... I've lost wonderful pictures of my baby and awesome pics of BFF's bachelortte party which I promised about 6 people I'd send them pic CDs. I accidentally (gosh) formatted my camera - not knowing what it meant (gosh) which deleted my pictures but I didn't realize it until after I took more pictures, downloaded them and deleted those. I've tried numerous freewares online and they all come up with only the pictures after the memory card was formatted... all 400 of them. Is there a computer expert I can send my memory card to?

My wife's lost an Excel spreadsheet named "finances." We've searched all through Explorer; no luck. I can't find it on the recent documents, recycle bin, or any other file type named "finances." The only thing I can find is the shortcut to the original Excel sheet. When you try to open it, it says it can't find the file. I even did 2 System Restores going back almost a month (she used it 5 days ago), and nothing works. Is there any other way to relocate a file like this?

This guy told me that with a dual core processor I cannot use MS Office 2000, that I would have to buy a new version, and that I cannot use my old programs. Is this true?

I have gone to the website, it says I have to pay 29.95 for something that AUTOMATICALLY installed on my hard drive when I put "Constantine" dvd in to watch. Can't remove it...do I have to reformat to get rid of this. I'll defintately NEVER buy it now !!!

(if by any reason the full adress does not show above, pls google for "nethack-343-ce-hpc.exe" , that is the file.

it's an installer, i cannot tell if it is Unwise or Install Shield, and it does not open with XUnpack ...
Can someone tell me an unpacker for this, or maybe unpack and send me the .cab files ?

P.S. NethHack is a roguelike game, that is open source and freeware, it is NOT related to hacking or anything else. It's just an old RPG game. And a great and addictive one too.
Google if you don't believe me.

I downloaded a file that I expect to be a video, but it is an .iso file. When I try to play the file my Nero software pops up for me to burn the image. I don't understand how to convert the .iso file to a usale DVD format.

After i go through all the clicking on the Basic LimeWire, then when i get to the Windows Recommended part, it acts wierd. I'd click the windows recommended, a window pops up then closes. Has anyone experienced this problem before? I've downloaded it before, but i think it might have something to do with the computer because we just had it defragged, or whatever you call it. Does anyone know how to get around this issue? Thanks!

I downloaded Windows Vista from Microsoft and burned the ISO file into a DVD just like they told me to. So now that I finished burning the DVD I popped it in my laptop and got this error.

The application or DLL D:\Sources\SPWIZENG.DLL is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette.

When I click on Ok, I get this message.

The file "autorun.dll" could not be loaded or is corrupt. Setup cannot continue. Error code is [0xC1].

What does all this mean?

i bought a Lenovo a month and a half ago and now my anti virus subscription has expired. should i buy another subscription and if so how? also i am getting the message that the MS version that has been loaded is not genuine..the salesperson says i have to buy the MS package which comes for another 4500/ rs 100$. i already paid 40000/ rs 800$ for the machine. should they have given genuine software with the machine/
what to do others do about the antivirus subscription?thanks in advance:)
