what are the disadvantages if one opts for Linux OS instead of Windows XP? But one thing is commendable that this community is working to provide Linux OS software free of charge. They believe that any software should be available free of charges. Have anyone downloaded this OS from http://ubuntu.com, then kindly inform me of your experiences?

I need some help. I want to be able to read and write in Japanese on my computer. I have the US version of Win XP Pro. A couple of people I know have a program that allows them do it but like most things with computers the person who loaded it onto their computers cannot be contacted at the moment. What do I have to download to enable me to accomplish this and one big point will I really want to be able to use it while using MSN messenger.

I have to make a copy of Office Disks and put it on an FTP site. I have Nero, Winzip, WinRar. What would be the best way- make an image with Nero then send to FTP?

i used to have this one program but it was long ago and i can't remember the name of it....you can build your own house and tour it in 3d, you could even do the landscaping!...i need something where i can change the textures of certain objects in photoshop like walls and doors and things so i can customize my project to a "t"...does anyone know of a program like this?..oh yeah something thats easy to use would be great!

I had a list of items in Excel, and then I decided to split them up into five columns. I simply moved them over and now I have spaces inbetween items. Is there a way to easily consolidate the items, as in removing the spaces, without moving each item up to the top?

I originally had Windows 98 on my computer, but I have installed Windows XP 3 times, now I want to unistall 2 of them. I have just now installed Windows XP for the third time, and when I opened control panel to Uninstall XP, I found nothing there, Nothing! Plz tell me how to uninstall it.
