Out of all the Windows OS's released so far? Yes.
It's the most stable and it is very easy to do anything.
Some people will argue that Mac OS X is the best, or that various versions of Linux are, I disagree. There's far less compatibility with those of all the main programs that you will probably run.
Plus Windows is far easier to fix if anything goes wrong.

Is an opinionated question, some like XP, some like Mac's OS 10, am not into the best, just want to search the net for the things I need.
Who wants to be the best? Its just me and my puter.

Windows software is the most used on personal computers, as for it being the best that is open to personal opinion. It is the most attacked and targeted OS by the malware/ virus writers, so for them it is the best.
For safety get mac OS, for wide open programming get Linux and for simple plug and play get Windows.

NO, Get Mac OS 10, it is truck loads safer and you can also run XP on it if you wish!
It is very fast and cheap compared to alot of XP installed computers, just go to apple.com :D
By the way, this means you can run XP programes AND mac programes, it has truckloads LESS virus threats as well!
